Join World Forestry Center and Washington Park for Earth Week, a week-long and park-wide celebration inviting visitors to discover the joy of nature here in Portland! From wildlife encounters and world-class gardens to museums, forest trails, and playgrounds, Earth Week is your opportunity to experience Portland’s premier park as one interconnected destination. Throughout Washington Park, look for special Earth Week signage designed by beloved local cartoonist and public joy creator Mike Bennett, guiding you to hands-on activities, conservation moments, and pop-up experiences that highlight the culture, diversity, and wonder of the natural world. Earth Week at World Forestry Center! April 19 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm: Start the week early with our Free Day sponsored by Hampton Lumber. April 19 at 11:30 am: Also happening that day is an author read with Silpa Kona reading her book "A Monster on My Trail." April 22 at 11:30 am: Join us for a special Earth Week Forest Stories April 26 at 11:00 am: This month's Forest Crafts with Rad Creative Space will be paper-making Participate in a Park-Wide Scavenger Hunt! Turn your visit into an adventure with the Earth Week Passport scavenger hunt! Print your passport here or ask for an Earth Week Passport at our admissions desk, which will also be stamping and accepting completed passports. Collect stamps from all participating venues (Oregon Zoo Entry Plaza, World Forestry Center Discovery Museum, Hoyt Arboretum Visitor Center, Portland Japanese Garden Welcome Center, and Rose Garden Store) to be entered into a special prize pack for your family.
