About the Event A strong economy isn’t just in the interest of business—it’s in the interest of anyone who values the community amenities, infrastructure, programs, and services that make a place a great place to live. Join City Club to hear presentations from State Economist Carl Riccadonna and Multnomah County Economist Jeff Renfro on the state of the local economy and what it means for the future of business, government, and community life. Topics covered may include the job market, corporate and public sector layoffs, the state’s revenue forecast, downtown Portland real estate trends, declining property values, and the impact of federal policy and tariffs. Both presenters will take questions from the audience at the end of the program. Thank You! Thank you to our 2026 Spring Season Sponsors: AARP Oregon, Hospital Association of Oregon, Fight Against Sex Trafficking, Tonkon Torp, and the Don Sterling Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation.
