Everything built into Community Playlist โ submitted by the community, for the community.
Community Playlist now has accounts, profiles, and a follow system โ all free, no tracking, no ads.
Follow anything on the site with one click. Your dashboard shows everything you're following. A personal RSS feed at /u/@handle/feed/ streams upcoming events from your follows โ works in any feed reader.
Browse upcoming events as a calm scrollable list, explore by map for discovery, or use hybrid mode for side-by-side research. View preference is saved between sessions.
Full-text search across title, description, and location. Filter by genre, category, neighborhood, date range, free-only, and now โ distance (within 15 / 30 / 60 miles of Portland). Fully mobile-friendly with a collapsible filter panel.
Every major Portland neighborhood has its own page at /neighborhoods/ โ a wiki history blurb, upcoming events, and a community board scoped to that area. Post potholes, neighborhood watch notes, mutual aid, or just say hi. No account needed to post.
Hover a list card to highlight its marker. Click a marker to scroll to that event. Category-colored dots โ music purple, bike green, food gold, and more. Flyer thumbnails in popups. All powered by OpenStreetMap โ no Google, no tracking.
Leave the page idle and the map comes alive โ it cycles through events one by one, animating a real driving route between each stop along Portland streets, zooming into each venue, opening an info card, and updating the weather to that event's forecast. Touch anything to take back control; autopilot resumes after 2 minutes.
Events currently in progress are pinned in a collapsible strip at the top of the list. They disappear automatically when they end โ no refresh needed.
Current Portland weather is shown in the header โ temperature, condition, wind speed, and feels-like. During autopilot, the pill updates to show the forecast for each event's location and time.

Tag performing artists on any event. Type a name and it searches our database, then MusicBrainz if not found. Artists are auto-detected from event titles (e.g. "ft.", "w/", "presents").
Mark an event as recurring โ weekly, monthly, every 3rd Thursday, annually, and more. Future instances generate automatically. Resident artists are tagged on every instance.
Register with the email you used to submit and your events are automatically claimed. Edit details and track approval from your dashboard.
Every event page shows all dates in its series โ past and upcoming โ so you can jump to any instance at a glance. Works for both submitted recurring events and auto-imported iCal series.
The first photo uploaded is featured as the flyer โ full-width, orange-bordered. Additional photos form a gallery.
Addresses link to OpenStreetMap directions. Calendar icon adds the event to Google Calendar with one tap.
Anyone can add recap photos after an event happens. Captions and submitter credit supported.
Event and venue pages quietly track how many times they've been viewed โ one count per session, no cookies, no tracking. Helps surface what's resonating.
Community Playlist automatically pulls events from across Portland so nothing slips through the cracks. All imports are geocoded, categorized, and genre-tagged automatically.
Dozens of PDX venues, collectives, and promoters publish iCal feeds. We import them twice a week and auto-detect new ones monthly.
Free breakfasts, community fridges, farmers markets, and food banks are now in the feed โ Blanchet House, Rosehip Medic Collective, PSU Farmers Market, and more. Filter by the Food category to find them.
The OG Pacific Northwest electronic music calendar, run by the community since 1997. We pull Oregon shows automatically โ raves, warehouse parties, club nights, and ambient sets that never make it to Ticketmaster. 19hz.info โ

A lightweight message board at /board/ โ no account needed, just a name. Post topics, reply to threads, and find Aid & Mutual Aid resources. Recurring events get their own auto-created thread. Pinned topics stay at the top.
A scrolling banner at the top of the page surfaces active mutual aid messages โ free breakfasts, community fridges, resource links. Text is managed in the admin and links to the Aid board.
Ideas, feedback, and event chatter live in #website-communications. New events ping the server for real-time visibility.
A quiet count of unique visitors โ one per session, no tracking, no ads, no data sold.
