First Annual Ride Westside Cargo Bike Harvest

Join Ride Westside for our first annual Cargo Bike Harvest Ride! We’ll tour some THPRD community garden sites by bike, collecting surplus produce to deliver to a local food bank. We’re working with the THPRD to alert gardeners and encourage them to make any extra produce available as they close up their gardens for the season. We'll welcome cargo bikes, bikesd\ with trailers, or any old bike if you just want to ride with us. :) Cargo-bike curious? You can borrow a cargo bike from our friends at the Westside Transportation Alliance (WTA) for a test ride! It’s a great opportunity to ride with experienced cargo bikers to see if the cargo bike life is for you: https://form.jotform.com/251561323634048/prefill/6ad000e7343330d693fcd7ef18af (Clickable link below) We’ll start at the community garden at THPRD’s Howard M. Terpenning (HMT) Recreation Complex and aim to visit these sites along the way: Recuerdo Park Pío Pío Park Barsotti Park Mountain View Champions Park Welch Centennial Community Garden Evelyn M. Schiffler Memorial Park Eichler Bike Park This is our first year, so we’ll see how it goes, stay flexible, and learn as we ride. Come help turn the season’s extra harvest into something good for our neighbors! Event link: https://shift2bikes.org/calendar/event-25173
