From Discovery to Clinical Impact: Translating Academic Science into Therapeutic Impact

Join OHSU Innovates for the third installment of the Drug Discovery Series, featuring Tom Scanlan, Ph.D., professor of chemical physiology and biochemistry at the OHSU School of Medicine and co-founder and scientific adviser to Autobahn Therapeutics, in conversation with Travis Cook, senior director of OHSU Innovates. This session will explore how discoveries from an academic lab can advance toward therapeutic development while strengthening the underlying science. Scanlan will share the translational path behind OHSU-discovered technology now being developed by Autobahn, including elunetirom (ABX-002), an investigational therapeutic candidate being evaluated for major depressive disorder and bipolar depression.
