City Club’s New Leaders Council (NLC) invites anyone interested in getting more involved in civic life—and making friends along the way—to its monthly happy hour geared toward those in their 20s to 40s. North Star Civic Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to connecting civic leaders around complex problems, is opening their office this month for an informal evening focused on exploring what drives voter participation in Oregon. Hear from North Star Civic Foundation’s Research Director Marina Kaminsky and Interim Communications Director Shawn Fleek to learn about the impacts of voter registration, voter education, and surprising drivers for what makes people turn out to the polls. Marina authored the 2025 report “Exploring Voter Participation and Demographics at the Precinct Level,” and offers grounded insights into voter participation at the hyper-local level. [REGISTER NOW!] Thank you! Many thanks to North Star Civic Foundation for generously sharing their space with us. City Club’s NLC will provide light snacks and drinks. We hope you’ll join us!
