We’ll be riding from Beaverton Central up over the hill to Providence Park to watch Portland Thorns Football Club (women’s soccer!) as they take on the Orlando Pride. It is also a night in the stadium to celebrate longtime Thorns and U.S. Women’s National Team legend Meghan Klingenberg. All are welcome, but we note that the route does have some non-trivial climbing. We can do it together! If you don’t want to try the climb, you could take MAX to the Zoo station and meet us at the top of the hill (at approx. ~4:45), but be aware that MAX trains can get pretty crowded before and after Thorns matches. There is ample bike parking that gets set up at the stadium on match days. Want to join us? Come ride just for the fun of it. A ticket is required for entry to the match; it is not included with the ride, but if you’d like to sit with us to watch the match, we’ll be in the open seating General Attendance (GA) section. It’s a relatively inexpensive ticket. Event link: https://shift2bikes.org/calendar/event-24724
