SALOME (1972) (Church of Film)
This event has already happened.
Nobody marked themselves down for this one.
King Herod is in love with his daughter, Salome. After she fails to seduce John the Baptist, she dances for the King in order to secure the execution of John. At least, that seems to be the plot of this bewildering, sustained psychedelic free-for-all, a blizzard of gem colored lights, feathers, spankings and esoteric rituals. SALOME is the untamed creative work of Carmelo Bene, the enfant terrible of Italy’s avant-garde counter-culture. Event link: https://cstpdx.com/event/salome-1972-church-of-film/
